  • How do I lighten acne scars?
When acne heals, it can often lead to various marks including true scars and pigmentation changes. True scars often require a combination of topicals and skin resurfacing devices including micro needling. Similarly, pigmentation changes from acne often require skin care that include lightening ingredients, lasers that target pigmentation, or a combination of both.
  • What brands to you carry?
We carry brands that are trusted and backed by clinical science, with the highest standards for safety and efficacy. For skin care, we carry Zo Skin Health® and SkinCeuticals®. For neuromodulators, we carry Botox® and Dysport®. For fillers, we carry Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Revanesse®
  • What is the difference between botox and fillers?
Botox® is one of many neuromodulators that we carry. Neuromodulators are medicine injected into the skin by trained professionals to reduce expression lines thereby softening and reducing fine lines. Neuromodulators do not ‘fill’ or take space in the skin. In addition, neuromodulators effects last between 3-6 months. Natural results are what we strive for and during your consultation, we will provide recommendations to maintain your beautiful results. We carry both Botox® and Dysport® brands. Fillers, including Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Revanesse®, are made of injectable hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin to help keep it plump and hydrated. Our experts are highly trained to strategically place fillers to enhance facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features to help restore a smoother, youthful appearance. Fillers typically last from several months to over a year.
  • What type of treatments Embrace offers for Skin Cancer?
We offer various skin cancer treatments like traditional surgery, burning, scraping, freezing, chemotherapy and laser screening. It depends on your skin requirement after consultation.
  • Do medical dermatologists help with cosmetic concerns?
Although, medical dermatologists diagnose and treat medical skin concerns. But Dr Mimi is experienced in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She will diagnose the cosmetic requirements of your skin such as acne scarring or rejuvenation of skin and treat it accordingly.
  • How long does it take to see results from medical dermatology treatments?
The timeline for seeing results from the treatments can vary depending on the specific state and the preferred treatment method. Some treatments may yield quick results, while others may require numerous sessions or a few weeks to see significant improvements. Our dermatologist will provide a practical expectation about the timeline during your consultation.
  • What happens in medical dermatology consultation?
Our dermatologist will consider your skin condition, consult your concerns and medical history, and perform a biological examination if necessary. They will then provide a diagnosis and suggest appropriate treatment options.
